Blue Velvet

  I had a dream.
In fact, it was on the night I met you.
In the dream, there was our world,
and the world was dark because there weren’t any robins
 and the robins represented love.
And for the longest time, there was this darkness.
And all of a sudden, thousands of robins were set free and they flew down
and brought this blinding light of love.
And it seemed that love would make any difference, and it did.
So, I guess it means that there is trouble until the robins come.

Another Earth

"You know that story of the Russian cosmonaut?
So, the cosmonaut, He's the first man ever to go into space. Right?
 The Russians beat the Americans.
So he goes up in this big spaceship, but the only habitable part of it's very small.
So the cosmonaut's in there, and he's got this portal window, and he's looking out of it,
and he sees the curvature of the Earth for the first time.
I mean, the first man to ever look at the planet he's from.
And he's lost in that moment.
And all of a sudden this strange ticking...
Begins coming out of the dashboard.
Rips out the control panel, right?
 Takes out his tools.
Trying to find the sound, trying to stop the sound.
But he can't find it. He can't stop it. It keeps going.
Few hours into this, begins to feel like torture.
A few days go by with this sound, and he knows that this small sound... will break him.
He'll lose his mind. What's he gonna do? He's up in space, alone, in a space closet.
He's got 25 days left to go... with this sound.
So the cosmonaut decides... the only way to save his sanity... is to fall in love with this sound.
So he closes his eyes... and he goes into his imagination, and then he opens them.
 He doesn't hear ticking anymore.
 He hears music.
And he spends the sailing through space in total bliss... and peace".

Nothing Personal

If i..

Eat Pray Love, Ryan Murphy

"I disappear into the person l love.

I am the permeable membrane.
If l love you, you can have it all.

My money, my time, my body...

...my dog, my dog's money.

I will assume your debts
and project upon you...

...all sorts of nifty qualities you've
never actually cultivated in yourself.

I will give you all this and more...

...until l am so exhausted
and depleted...

...the only way l can recover...

...is by becoming infatuated
with someone else."

Hallo, can you hear me?

Jean-Luc Godard - Week End (1967)

"I must be ringing off now.
People are waiting outside
Although I have been babbling
I've hardly said a word
Hallo, can you hear me?
They're getting impatient outside
In this world of dog eats dog
Who cares for a love that's died?"

Worm

Jean-Luc Godard - Week End (1967)

"We know nothing
We're totally ignorant of ourselves
We're as totally ignorant of what this worm is
We're both enigmas
Anyone who denies it
is the most ignorant of all"

Week End

Jean-Luc Godard - Week End (1967)

Didn't you hear what he said?

"We're all brothers, as Marx said"

-It wasn't Marx.
Another communist said it.
Jesus said it"

A walking contradiction

Taxi Driver , Martin Scorsese 1976

"You know what you remind me of?
- What?
- That song.
By Kris Kristofferson.
- Who's that?
- The songwriter.
 "He's a prophet-- He's a prophet and a pusher.
Partly truth, partly fiction. A walking contradiction.""

Can t Sleep

Taxi Driver , Martin Scorsese 1976

"Twelve hours of work, and I still can't sleep.
Damn!

The days go on and on. They don't end.
All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go.
I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention.
I believe that someone should become a person like other people."
